Advertising on hiFur

hiFur is a new take on social networking. Designed from scratch with the sole purpose of helping the furry community get closer together. The network is visited by roughly 4,000 people every day, at an average of 9.75 pageviews per visit. That's nearly 160,000 advert impressions every day.

During search queries, our search engine uses keyword-based advertising.

We're a network designed for furries, by a furry. Therefore, we offer quality, open advertising by the community, for it's own interest.

Revenue from the adverts goes towards paying the bills for the hiFur servers, storage and bandwidth.

Advertising Rates

Advert Placement:

Adverts are displayed in the Index Page, beside Blog Posts and profiles. Beneath Artwork, above and inbetween forum posts, and beneath personal adverts. Adverts are  displayed beneath the introduction tab in the "explore" section (Furs,Artwork, and personals): Also, adverts are shown beneath the content the user chooses to view.

During search, hiFur's search engine will use keyword-based matching to provide the users with the most relevant adverts.

Advertising Requirements

All adverts must be targeted or related to the general interests of the furry community. This entails furry websites, auction houses (or auctions), products (either digital or for sale), artwork, services (including artistic) and general interest items.

Please bear in mind the following limitations:

1. Mature adverts: Mature adverts are only shown to logged in users over 18 years of age. They must not include any partial or full nudity. And they must be safe to be viewed in public computers (read: safe for work!)




2. Animated adverts: Must be in the .GIF format. They should contain no more than 5 frames, and no tweened animation. Annoying or dangerous patterns or flashes of colour are not allowed.
   




3. Each advert is approved in a case-by-case basis. HiFur reserves the right to deny any advert campaign at their sole discretion.

Ordering Adverts

Adverts can be ordered directly on the website:

1. Start your campaign by sending an email to Luxchia. Be sure to include:
   
   
   
   1. The Link address and site name for your advert
   
   
   
   
   2. A small description of the services offered (and how they benefit the fur community)
   
   
   
   
   3. a list of space-separated keywords: They will be used to match your adverts in search
   
   
   
   
   4. The term (1, 3, 6, or 9 months) you'd like to hire the advert for
      
   
   
   
   
   5. finally... The Actual advert!



2. If your advert is approved, you will recieve a Paypal link in your inbox.
   




3. After payment, your advert will be activated, you will recieve a notification of activation in your e-mail.




4. During your campaign (and for 60 days after it's completion), you may review the preformance of your campaign using the Advertiser's Control Centre. Optionally, you may re-start a finished campaign using express checkout: All expired campaigns are automatically pre-approved for a second round of adverts.
